about
'Terror Tears' is the second single from Lauren’s upcoming full length album 'A Fiesta and a Hell', coming this fall via Green Witch Recordings About the track Lauren says, “I’ve become increasingly disillusioned with our society over the past few years...the media propaganda machine, government hypocrisy and lies, corporate-owned institutions that only seem to tighten their control as the years pass...I don’t know where the future is leading us, but I know that we the people need to start intentionally choosing what kind of future we want, instead of being led into dystopia by systems of power.” Giving a nod to anarchist collective Crimethinc via the lyric “we spend our days at war and our nights in love”, the track serves as a battle cry, set against 80s punk/goth rock inspired driving beats and reverb soaked guitar and vocals. 'A Fiesta and a Hell' was recorded in Austin, TX with Modern Medicine (Wild Child, Josie Lockhart) producing, Elliott Frazier of Ringo Deathstarr mixing, and Christopher Colbert (Mazzy Star, Starflyer 59, Leon Bridges) mastering.
lyrics
Believe happily every after
Certain wounds cut deep
Force fed words I never stood by
I don’t wanna die
I don’t wanna succumb
No, I don’t wanna go
I don’t wanna succumb
No, I don’t wanna go
Sweet terror tears
I cried for a whole year
Kept the faith
And now we’re let back down
We spend our days at war
and our nights in love
No gods, no masters now
I don’t wanna succumb
No, I don’t wanna go
I don’t wanna succumb
No, I don’t wanna go
Sweet terror tears
I cried for a whole year
And everyone says
we’re gonna be just fine
We’re running out of time
Do you buy what you’re sold?
Do you buy it all?
Do you do what you’re told?
Do you do it all?
Sweet terror tears
I cried for a whole year
And everyone says
we’re gonna be just fine
We’re running out of time

Me sorprende cada vez que vuelvo reproducir esta pieza, como es que se asoman sonidos nuevos,,...... es demasiado bueno, espero escucharles un día en vivo....... Cubeta
I listen to a wide range of punk. I can save time by throwing on Autonomy and scratch all those various itches at once. Awesome bass/guitar/drum tones, incredible vocals, dark vibes, lyrics so good I actually read along, good riffs.
They do the loud/soft thing perfect. Spacey whimsical parts directly into full volume rock and roll. junkyardfrank

The striking synth/goth songs on the latest from Vlimmer feel 50 stories tall, with gigantic walls of sound and bleak, ominous vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 26, 2021
Melodic alt-pop in the vein of Soccer Mommy is driven by winding guitar lines and augmented with dreamy shoegaze elements. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 14, 2021
Ever followed the "2014 tumblr" hashtag over there and wondered which kind of music could go with this aesthetics ten years later? Well look no further. Perfect melodic shoegaze, somewhere between soft punk, goth, dark wave and indie rock. Always with a smile and a tear, always a warm feel in an early city dusk. Greatly recommended. Kristian
